MOTIVATION
Gabrielle Chanel, in 1921, tasked Ernest Beaux with creating a perfume that epitomized feminine allure, a composition both unique and intense. Beaux’s use of aldehydes was revolutionary. Chanel chose the fifth sample, naming it simply N°5 and selected a groundbreaking bottle design with a white label and a multifaceted top. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted this beloved fragrance into a deeper eau de parfum.
